Google Accidentally Relocates Chilean Town

WebProNews reports that Google Earth has gifted an entire town, Villa O’Higgins, from Chile to Argentina, putting the village within the wrong country’s borders.. It’s a silly little mistake, brought on by inaccurate data, but apparently the Chilean Foreign Ministry decided to get involved, asking Google to please return the town (or barring that, give them a town from Argentina in exchange).
WPN sees conspiracy; Google favoring Argentina due to its new Argentinan offices. Could Google Earth be used in the future to steal land? I hope so.
As of this writing, Villa O’Higgins is still listed as “Villa O’Higgins, Argentina, and located on the wrong side of the border.
