Google Deals For Clear Channel Ads

Google has announced a deal to acquire a huge amount of radio airtime in order to sell advertising. The deal, with radio juggernaut Clear Channel, gives Google access to 5% of all of Clear Channel’s ad inventory on its 675 radio stations and will run for several years, although exact revenue goals have not been made public. It is rumored that Google had to pay or promise a billion dollars to Clear Channel to get the deal.
Andy Beal says Google got a raw deal, since Google can’t work with existing Clear Channel advertisers ( a huge portion of the market).
