The Google Maps Mashup Senator

United States Senator Ben Nelson of Nebraska has been creating a bunch of Google Maps mashups, as spotlighted by Google’s Public Policy blog. He’s on his third. First, he used the MyMaps feature to show constituents where he was traveling in Iraq, and now he’s using them to promote Nebraska. The latest, released yesterday, are “Ben Nelson’s Guide to Exploring Nebraska“, a multi-colored pushpin guide of parks, monuments and other federal landmarks, and a guide for other popular attractions, like the world’s largest porch swing, museums, art galleries and stadiums.
Great to see a Senator getting into web mashups, and it really shows how damn easy it is to use Google MyMaps.
