What are some reasons MOST marketers are failing ?

We have over 200 million people in this industry worldwide ….( MLM’ers, IM’ers, Direct sales).
This industry makes over $130 billion dollars annually. Here in the US with the down economy over 14.1 million people are seeking work/jobs.
Yet, every 30 seconds someone is starting a home business. We have 14 million prospects/leads needing what we have ….so WHY are 9 out of 10 of us failing ? I think I have the answers and I want to see what others think about it.
If you can think of four reasons why….(as I have narrowed it down to 4 distinct areas).
