Using PPC to Increase RSS Subscribers – What do you think?

I’m starting a new blog and I would like to quickly increase my RSS subscriber count.
I’m thinking of creating a landing page with a Feedburner RSS e-mail subscription form and promote that landing page via PPC.
What do you all think, will this work? Is there any pitfalls I’m overlooking?
