Types of Advertising

Just wanted to know if someone could give me a list of advertisers and types of advertisements.
I’ve heard of Adsense, YPN, Adbrite, Adversal, CJ, and ClickBank. I know theres more.
Also, could someone explain some terminology to me: CPM, CTR, etc. I’ve seen so many abbreviations that I’m not sure of, and it would be nice to know what everything means. Thanks for anyone’s help.
