Google Maps Warns, “You’ll Be Stuck In Traffic”
Google Maps has a nice little new thing that, below where it lists the amount of time to expect your trip to take, it says how long the trip will be if you hit the typical rush hour traffic. This is great because, not only does it help you avoid bad traffic, it means Google is collecting much better data about driving patterns and using it to better Google Maps. I’ve noted in the past that the less cool Mapquest has years more experience calculating routes than Google, but it looks like Google is starting to learn some good tricks.
