Ask’s Ad Campaign Not Properly Optimized

Search Ask.com for “chicks with swords”, and the first result about the campaing is the sixth result, a piece by Andy Beal that is critical of it. However, search for it on Google, and Ask has bought an ad there. Weird.
Ask’s got other ads for its new search engine, featuring a search box filled with “Search better now”. As Donna points out, clicking the search button in the ad runs the search, which is not that impressive and is filled with results about using Google search. Worse are the ads on the page, which for some stupid reason are for Windows registry cleaners, local singles and people search, and the zoom feature […]
