UTube May Be Making $3 Million/Year From YouTube
Domain Tools takes a look at UTube.com, the tubing website that became famous when YouTube did, and estimates they could be pulling in $8,000 a day on their now 1-6 million visitors per month. That’d be over $1.33 per thousand visitors on horribly untargeted traffic on spammy subdomains, totalling $2.9 million a year. I think Domain Tools is overestimating the worldwide visitors of UTube based on US-only Compete data, and that UTube is probably pulling in less than half that, at best, but there’s no doubt the UTube is enjoying some free money, maybe at the expense of their page design.
It’s funny, but the links at the top of UTube.com could practically be considered spammy, and some search engines might remove a site like that from their index. Google can’t remove them, since it’d be seen as unfair actions towards a semi-competitive site that is already suing […]
