Have you ever signed up for CPV? Is this typical?

Hi all, trying to get setup with CPV to try some of Anik Singal’s latest techniques. In his webinar, directCPV is used. So, I tried signing up with them. Normally, I do not even give out my SS#, but with the IRS getting, uh, hmmm, more serious, you see it.
But, now, they have sent an email requiring extreme stuff for my credit card beyond what was entered onsite, and I do not feel comfortable about that!
