Infographic: How TV Ads Drive Consumers Online
Yahoo! study finds a quarter of consumers immediately go online after seeing a TV ad
In recent years, mobile and Web users are increasingly engaging online during live TV events like The Academy Awards and The Grammys. As multitasking with TV and the Web continues to grow, Yahoo! researchers took a closer look at how TV ads impact online activity. After the jump, find out how many TV-watchers searched online for information related to a commercial immediately after seeing it.
In a study called “The Evolution of TV Multitasking”, Yahoo! and Razorfish found that a quarter of multitasking consumers connect with online content related to either the TV programs they are watching or the ads they see during commercial breaks. To be exact, 26% of multitasking TV-watchers went to a website related to a commercial they had just seen. Twenty-five percent turn to online search to look up information related to [...]

Just got a client
Hi guys,
Just got my first client, by sending around a few emails to businesses in my local area.
And that by only selling business card designs, wasn’t that difficult to do either. I am charging a small retainer, but it has a lot of potential because I don’t have to do that much with it, after making the business cards.
You can take a look at my blog if you want to know more about it: http://www.internetworkerblog.com/20…-first-client/
If you have any ideas on how I can improve the design/ service, just let me know. Like trying to upsell to additional services etc.

Affiliate Marketers and Social Media
Not too long ago I attended a conference where many highly-engaged affiliate marketers were in attendance. In speaking with many of them–specifically about Social Media–I was a little surprised to find that many said they’re not regularly active in social channels. Perhaps a Tweet here or there, FB post on their Wall, but not in many other channels.
While I have my own, I’m curious to know what other’s thoughts & practices are. Is Social an important channel for you when it comes to communicating your Affiliate Marketing efforts? Or does it primarily seem to be just a waste of time?
I’d love to get your feedback by responding to this poll. And I apologize for taking it away from the forums – I’m not sure if there’s a poll feature here or not.

Biggest Online Biz Myth Ever!
Have you heard of the famous online marketing line,
‘If you want to make money, you gotta have more websites!’
To me this is a total bull s**t. Let me tell you why.
If you create more websites, you are spending more money, resources and time!
If you create more websites targeting lots of differentniches, can you imagine how much effort you need in order todrive traffic to every site and the worst part is, you know nothingabout all those niches!
This will definitely cause you tremendous frustration and you mightconsider quit your online biz altogether.
To me, this ‘more website’ myth makes you spend more money. Itreally defeats the purpose of you starting an online biz in the first placewhich is to make money!
From my experience, all you need is a system to simplify your currentinternet business model and focus on this model to produce immediateresults rather than running around like a lost-headed chicken.
Why do [...]
