Can anyone help a noob out?

Hey guys, I’m about to open my first webpage and I could use some advice when it comes to the advertising since I pretty much have no idea what I’m doing.
It’s going to be an adult oriented site and all I really want to know is how to get started. There are so many different ad companies out there and different methods such as cpc nd cpm and affiliate programs. I’m really not sure which companies to use (in terms of whether or not they pay on time and such) and which methods work best.
