Bonnie Brown On Her Years at Google

“I had a guest for lunch and Sergey was at the next table. He got up right in the middle of eating and started doing push ups on the floor. He had some kind of bet going with the people at his table. My guest was pretty surprised.”
Bonnie Brown was working as massage therapist at Google from 1999 to 2004. Before that, she ran a private school for 10 years. via Google Blogoscoped

PPC for a high traffic non-English website?

I have a Korean website which has about 450,000 visitors a month.
I got banned from Adsense for invalid clicks(I guess) yesterday.
My monthly earning with Adsense was about $5000.
I want to keep making money with my website.
Do you know any good PPC program for a non-English website other than Adsense?

Anyone using Bid Hero already? Care to share first impressions?

Finally found the time to join this superb forum, right now driven by the need to decide whether to invest time and money into trying the new PPC tool launched earlier this week by Lyris (formerly J.L. Halsey Corp).
Bid Hero is part of the recently announced Lyris HQ, which is supposed to join search, Web analytics, content management, landing page optimization, and email marketing solutions in one hosted application.
Lyris says it has incorporated Trellian’s KeywordDiscovery and competitive analysis tools among others.
It works with Adwords and YSM right now, and is supposed to add adCenter "within the next few weeks".
The following is a quote from the launch blurb, which you can find via lyris dot com (not mine unfortunately :
"Bid Hero helps advertisers manage their bids and create, test and buy keywords. With a color-coded data theme, users can see which campaigns are delivering high click-through rates [...]

Google Prioritizes Sales Over Content

Google has removed the Video link on its search results pages with one to Google Product Search, relegating the very useful Video link to the “More” menu. The Video link is fourteen items down the More menu, making it a lot of work to reach. Previously, on any Google search, you could hit Video to get results from dozens of popular and unpopular video sites, making it the easiest way to find video on the internet. Now? Not so much.
Google seems to be prioritizing Product Search, with its huge links to Google Checkout, over Video, which is actually a very popular and fast growing segment of the internet. It’s a decision that, unless backed up by traffic number saying no one used the Video link, makes no sense and implies Google ignored the needs of its users over its need to sell stuff. That’s [...]

Top 10 Tips for Using Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Pay-per-click advertising has completely revolutionized how advertising is done over the Internet. No longer must advertisers purchase banners or text link ads on sites for a flat rate per month, but with virtually no guaranteed results (not even a guarantee of a click); instead, they can purchase “pay per click” advertising through a massive contextual ad server service, such as Google Adwords. Widgetbucks & Non-US Clicks

Well, i didnt see anything on their website regarding this, but not only do the impressions do not match my sites daily visitors but also the clicks are far too less for me to suspect that they are disregarding non us clicks , while most of my traffic is non us based , but the ads displayed by widgetbucks match my sites niche to the T that i would be very surprised if i have anything under 5% ctr which is what my adsense manages somewhat dispite some pretty bad blend in. I am pretty sure WB should mention this thing.
